I can’t believe it!

It’s been almost a year since the last Architect Business Development Summit. Hundreds of people have now used it to stop the struggle for quality clients and projects and have created thriving design businesses.

Are YOU going to be next?

Take a look at what some of them say:
Instead of doubting, ‘I just did it’
"I think one of the hidden pieces to it is something that Richard Petrie and I talked about ... I got out of my own way and, instead of second guessing and doubting some of the marketing strategies and tools that they were teaching us, I just did it. I stopped coming up with excuses. I stopped doubting it and I just went forward and did it. The results have come back and I’ve got to say that I'm pretty pleased with them. Stick with it. This works."

- Shannon Doyle, SPD Architecture (Fort Collins, Colorado)
From pigeon-hole to profitable niche
"As an expert [in Universal Design], the outside world, I think, sees me differently … I was called for a quote from a journalist [and] I was able using the tools of the AMA to convert that phone call from a quote into being the prime source for the whole article. Then, the day that the article came out, I got a call from Madison, Wisconsin. It was somebody who was organizing a symposium and wanted to have me there as a speaker.

We got a project recently that's a $400,000 remodel, and then another one last week that's a new winery. I've never done a winery before, but these people were so confident about my process and my structure that I had to offer them, and the questions that I was asking them, that I got both of these projects with just a half-hour phone consultation and a presentation of my system. It's incredibly exciting to have new types of work coming in the door like that."

- Erik Mikiten, Mikiten Architecture (Berkeley, California)
36-year-old firm systematizes, becomes more profitable
"Before Architect Marketing, we tended to approach marketing in a very reactionary way, so that meant that we would wait for proposals to come or request for proposals … Since we've done this course, we have implemented a few things. The inner circle [and] the newsletter to our inner circle using a modified version of the templates provided by Architect Marketing. We've started using the Low Commitment Consultation in our proposals, which … certainly eases them in … We've also implemented the systematized referrals as well as the flowchart.

I want to thank all of you, String and Richard and Enoch, for giving us the insight into systematizing certainly our marketing, but also giving us a new approach to looking at other areas of the practice … As a new generation of leadership takes over for the firm, we look to the systematizing of all the areas of our practice, so that our practice can be scalable as well as more profitable."

- Chris Doktor, Olson Lewis + Architects (Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts)
Multi-lingual architect in Spain finds her niche
"There weren't enough leads and we weren't making money and I was sick of it. I was actually thinking of changing career when I came across the Architect Marketing Institute and it all sounded, actually, pretty good. The main thing is that we identified a group of clients that was going to be good-value clients for us to go for. It was so screamingly obvious, but we weren't doing it. [Now] we very openly go for that market and that actually is the market with money at the moment. Things are getting better in Spain, but that's the market that's improving most rapidly. Now, I'm earning money and that's fantastic. So thank you!"

- Co Govers, Zest Architecture (Barcelona, Spain)
As proud as I am of last year’s summit, I now want to spread the word again to even more people about the power of what we know to change your experience of what it means to be a design professional forever... to never have to worry about getting quality clients again... and instead to spend your time working with the kind of high end clients and projects you’re going to love.

The results people have achieved with our strategies are nothing short of life changing.

Let me introduce you to one of them right now...
A True Story: Meet Architect, Mona Quinn.

From frustration and struggle to freedom and fulfilling projects...
Back in 2013, I got a surprising email from an Architect in New Zealand.

She wrote:
"Dear Enoch - I am starting to implement marketing strategies for architects and as a result I am very busy! It really works once you get the hang of it... Have just been nominated for local business awards here in NZ - so feeling good!"

- Mona Quinn
As you can imagine I was fascinated.

What was this magic "architect marketing" she was using?

I interviewed her on the Business of Architecture podcast, and she shared her story.

It turns out a few months previous she had gone to a seminar at her local business chamber, put on by a "high-priced" marketing consultant. (Richard was his name)

He was preaching an entirely different type of marketing from what she had ever heard before.

He gave examples of his past clients who had grown their incomes and businesses using the marketing strategies he teaches.

Mona was skeptical.

What he preached sounded good, but would it work for her?

She wasn't sure.

In any case, it didn't matter because as a relatively young architect who had just left a larger firm, she knew she didn't have the $10K + to pay his coaching fee.

She also lacked a bit of confidence.

Deep down, the thought of growing her practice and trying something new was a bit scary.

Would these strategies really work for her?

A few days passed, and she thought of her young child and future trying to grow a profitable and enjoyable architecture practice while juggling the demands of a family.

Finally out of pure frustration, she decided that nothing would change unless she took action, even if she had to sacrifice.

The pain of doing nothing was just too great...

She had a drive for success and decided she'd do whatever it took to achieve her dream.

She came up with the money, invested in the coaching, and hired the "mystery marketing man" Richard Petrie.

Richard taught her that consistent clients and great projects could be had by building on the 4 little known pillars of marketing for architects.

More on those in just a second.

So what was the result of Mona taking a chance and discovering a new way to attract the projects and fees she wants (and deserves)?

In short... the tables were turned and...
Clients now beg to work with Mona instead of her chasing them...
If you’re serious about thriving in today’s world as an architect or design professional- you need to learn what Mona Discovered because there are some alarming happenings in our industry...

These events will negatively anyone who is unprepared to handle them. I’m talking here about...
The 4 Horsemen Of The Architecture Apocalypse...
VANISHING QUALITY PROJECTS:  I hear from many clients these days who have difficultly landing quality projects...the kind they really want to work on with budgets that suit their skills and experience. Believe me, these top quality projects are out there, you just have to know how to attract them. I will show you how.

VANISHING RESPECT:  It seems more and more clients view architects as a commodity these days. (wouldn’t you agree?) Our value has demised in the eyes of our clients. They view us as an expense and don’t appreciate all that we bring to the table...And our vital role in any project.

VANISHING FEES:  More and more clients are demanding more service for less fees. Unless you know how to attract better clients (you know – the one’s who don’t piddle about fees and want to pay for top notch design) - you’re going to find yourself working more for less as the years go by. Not a good plan for any firm.

VANISHING UP FRONT DESIGN WORK:  It’s more and more common these days for clients to cut back on up front design work and just pay more to fix mistakes later. This is bad news for any Architect.
Shall We Say The Unthinkable?
Being realistic … your job is at risk, your money is at risk, your retirement is at risk. Things will need to change for you fast so you can secure your future.

After all...who wants to be worrying about paying bills and mounting medical expenses as the years roll on...when you deserve so much better. Who wants to work on a cheap re-model when you should be working on high budget projects you find challenging and rewarding and are worthy of your skills?

So That Raises a Question …
What You Must You Do To Survive, Thrive and Prosper?
There are the 4 key pillars to running a successful architecture business where you never have to worry about attracting high paying interesting projects ever again.

They are the 4 secrets of...

1. Client Attraction
2. Nurturing
3. Winning
4. Repeat Referrals

These pillars are what turned Mona’s business around along with many others.
And most important:
You’re going to discover how to use these 4 pillars of client attraction to grow a successful business this May at the Architect Business Development Summit. Many of our successful clients, and expert marketing consultant Richard, who taught her how to turn her business around, will be there... along with myself. After this weekend, you’ll discover the vital steps to transforming your firm as well.
Introducing...
The Architect Business Development Summit 2018
The Architect Business Development Summit is a 2-day event specifically for owners and partners of design firms (with staff of 0 - 50) who want better projects with bigger budgets, but aren't sure how to get there, or want to speed up the process.

At this event, you'll discover how to create high-quality, consistent demand for your firm's design services in the next 12 months (or less).

The focus of this event is on how to create this demand even if your current firm is "invisible" and not on the radar of potential clients.

Several of our successful clients will be taking the stage to share the exact strategies they are using to generate client inquiries in their practices, grow their revenue, and up-level the calibre and scope of projects they win.
Take a look at a small fraction of what you’ll discover during this 2-day event:
  •  Complete instructions on how to turn the battle of downward fee pressure. No matter how persistent the client is or bad you are at negotiating.
  •  The demystifying truth about How to overcome the 'free advice' expectation and grow your revenue by getting paid for your expertise and insights.
  •  The vital importance of differentiating yourself from your competitors and exactly how to do it.
  •  The simple 4-step translation exercise that transforms a technical talking architect into a canny project winner (without coming across as 'salesy')
  •  The insider secrets of what other successful architects are doing to attract more clients with better projects and bigger budgets.
  •  The 'Police Hostage Negotiator' questioning technique that bypasses the resistance of the logical mind to motivate potential clients to move ahead.
  •  The almost unknown latest tips on how to use the internet to market your practice and give your firm an edge
What To Expect
Unlike other events with a random collection of speakers, this event is choreographed to help you figure out exactly what you need to do right now to move your firm towards a High Profile Practice
Here's some of what you'll discover during this 2-day event:
Chapter 1: Setting The Stage For Predictable Leads
Most architects approach business development as a 'one-off' activity. And yet generating real leads for an architecture practice takes time and consistency.

You'll discover why it's important to identify exactly who you want to serve, and how to hone-in on the 'deep-pocket' clients who can afford to pay for (and appreciate) good design.

Richard Petrie
World's Leading Architect Marketing Coach
Co-founder Architect Marketing Institute
Chapter 2: How To Build a Client Attraction "Machine" For Your Architecture Practice
Most architects don't have a clue about how to actually TAKE CONTROL of the project inquiries they get.
The typical strategy is to do the best work they can, and then wait for the referrals to come rolling in.
The reality is quite the opposite - a feast or famine cycle of having too much work and being stretched thin, or a feeling of quite desperation wondering where the next client will come from.
In this presentation by AMI co-founder and expert architectural marketer Enoch Sears, you'll discover specific strategies for attracting and winning great projects consistently, instead of spinning around in circles dealing with price-shopping clients who don't appreciate the value of design.
Applying the strategies you learn in this presentation will be a game-changer for your practice.

Keynote (Chapter 3): "How We Doubled Our Profit Year Over Year Using AMI's Marketing Strategies"
Solam and James Sizer, both directors of SA Architectural Services, joined AMI's Design Firm Accelerator in March of 2017.

After quickly implementing some of the initial strategies, they immediately saw results in their firm and a massive addition to the bottom line.

James Sizer implemented the Low Commitment Consultation strategy (LCC) right away and added the equivalent of $60k USD to the firm's revenue (plus they saved many hours of non-billable time they used to give away).

"I used to give away a lot of time for free," says James. "In the past, I would have gone to their house for free in a vain hope that would appeal to their criteria for employing us - and I would have wasted my time."

In this keynote presentation, James and Solam Sizer will reveal the exact strategies they've used to double their profit in under 12 months, which they've used to hire new staff and grow the business.

Specific techniques for architecture firms...NOT general marketing theory...
The techniques revealed at this summit are geared specifically towards architecture firms.

They are nothing like any techniques you may of learned before to attract clients.

THESE TECHNIQUES WORK FOR ANY KIND OF PRACTICE!

You’re firm or situation is NOT SPECIAL. You will be able to use these techniques to boost you profits, working on the projects you love.
“Your Simple Success Action Plan”
A “Success Action Plan” will allow you to start implementing what you learn at The Architect Business Development Summit the minute you step back into the office on Monday morning.

This action plan is simple, all the techniques and ideas you will discover are simple.

Here’s how your “Success Action Plan” will work:

As we cover each topic, you’ll want to pay special attention and consider how it will apply to your business. You’ll be asked during the conference to stop and write down how you can use this topic in your business. Then you’ll be asked to set long-term, short-term, and mid-ranged goals to be able to apply the topic to your business.

You’ll then break each goal into “Action Steps” and set deadlines for those “Action Steps”. Next you’ll prioritize these “Action Steps” so that when you step back into your office on Monday, you’ll know exactly what to do first in order to use what you’ve learned at the summit.

It’s really a very simple thing to implement – and by doing it I think you’ll find you’ll get more from the summit than you got from any previous seminar you’ve ever attended.

You’ve absolutely got to do what it takes to get to the summit.
Get the personal attention you need to prosper...
At most summits the speaker sneaks away during the breaks and meals to have time by his or herself, and is virtually inaccessible. At THIS summit, I flat-out WANT you to corner me and ask me or Richard Petrie questions.

In fact…

I WANT you to pepper me with question after question about how to attract the kind of challenging high end projects you want.

I’ll strain my brain in every conceivable way to answer any conceivable questions you have. Grab me at the breaks… grab me whenever and wherever you can – I’ll be available!

We’ll Stay Up Until The Wee Hours Of The Morning If Need Be In Order To Answer All Your Questions.

I Personally Am Going To Slave Over You To Make Sure You Learn What You Came To Learn.

Essentially, I’ll be there for you.

But don’t just talk to me. Also realize that some of the best opportunities for you at his summit will come from networking with all the other attendees.

My experience has been that some of the most valuable contacts I’ve ever made came from Networking with other attendees… these contacts are priceless. In fact, I can honestly say that some of my best friends in the world and most-trusted business associates are people I’ve met at seminars.
This isn’t a “regular” architecture conference
Listen, this isn’t a “regular” architecture conference – a conference where you sit and watch OTHER architects share their incredible designs …

At this Summit, growing your income and influence takes center stage … so you become the architect showing off your projects at those “other” conferences - and getting the awards to prove it.
IT WORKS. IT’S REALLY THAT SIMPLE!
If you want and need change in your business, if you feel the overwhelming need for a new direction, If you are wanting to take your firm, your skills, your time and your efforts a more prosperous way… this summit promises that …
  •   You have full control of your business and who you work with (would you like that?)
  •  You earn as much as you can earn (you have the power to create income yourself rather than waiting to be paid)
  •  You no longer have to deal with ‘hassle clients’ - low budget time wasters who don’t appreciate you.
  •  Your work becomes exciting, new and fresh
  •  You live and enjoy your life NOW. And no longer have to wait until you retire for a holiday or to do something incredible – that can happen right now.
  •   You are no longer a slave to what the marketplace and what your clients are doing or how they are acting (you control everything)
  •   You are no longer part of what everyone is doing (and you no longer get the results they get)
YES, YOUR LIFE & YOUR FUTURE Can Become More Secure
Can you imagine your business being different to how it is right now? I can’t hear your reply but I can imagine your response: YES!

What do you do each day in your business right now? Do you grab any old cheap remodel or work with any kind of clients because your cash flow is not certain and you’re afraid to turn down projects?

Do you worry about your future and retirement and how you’re going to support yourself?

And of course, the bigger problem is – you really don’t have control of what is coming next and that’s the scary part. Having less clients, less money, Losing your job, or even losing your life-savings – could happen and has happened, as you know.

Yet here is what’s interesting … those touched by this powerful marketing summit have experienced gigantic changes in their lives – their position – their finances – their lifestyles …the respect they get... THAT’S A FACT!

You’ve seen it in the videos.
YOU?
Can you see yourself with a different business, with different clients, having all the top end interesting projects you want? Getting the respect you deserve, The holidays, the extra cash, and everything else needed to create a business you’ll be excited to wake up for?
  •  Imagine NO more dead beat clients!
  •  Imagine NO cheap uninspiring jobs.
  •  Imagine being able to attract top end clients and fees at will
  •  Imagine NO longer being worried about where the next job is coming from
  •  Imagine working on jobs that get you the respect you deserve.
Think about this … a way to pay off any debts you might have and live the kind of life you want.

You CAN have almost anything you want but the reality is, it takes a new way of doing things. Are you willing to do something slightly different to what you usually do...or are you simply going to allow your business to be part of the same story many struggling Architecture businesses are telling today?

That’s your choice of course, but why not join hundreds of professionals who have already been motivated into change and are now creating incredible new businesses.
Can You Afford To Miss Out On A Life-Changing Opportunity Like This?
Now listen… let me shift gears here and say something very important to you about what this summit can do for you:

There’s not a single more important skill or tool you could learn than how to attract the right kind of clients and projects for your firm.

Think about it… the reason 80% of all firms struggle is because they don’t know how to generate and win the right kinds of projects. It’s not that they don’t have good design skills and talent. It’s not because that aren’t smart. It’s not because they don’t provide a good service.

It’s simply because they don’t know how to get the right kind of high paying challenging projects.

And it’s a rare skill to know how to really do that. And you’re going to learn how to do that at the Architect Business Development Summit.

Think about it… how could you possibly put a price on owning that knowledge and that skill? If this summit were to cost $50,000, wouldn’t it still be worth it to know how to grow your business and freedom over the next year? Wouldn’t it be worth it to know how to thrive no matter what happens?
How can you put a price on knowing how to bring in the kind of project that swells your job satisfaction along with your bank balance?
And what one thing could you possibly do that’s more valuable to your firm than knowing how to bring in elite clients with deep pockets that make your job incredibly satisfying and rewarding.

Think about it, what knowledge could be more valuable for you to know? Would reading some marketing book every day be more valuable?

Heck, some people spend five, ten and even 25 thousand dollars to attend seminars where they learn a fraction about what you’ll learn about generating clients on demand – it’s a sheer waste of time and money! Or they spend thousands of dollars, and years of their life getting educated in things that are really meaningless compared to this skill.

They’ll learn about the latest design craze, or exterior cladding material, OR skills and knowledge that don’t affect the bottom-line.

Are you seeing the problem here? Most architects invest massive amounts of time and money learning skills they can hire someone else to do, instead of developing the one skill that will really make their design dreams come true.

What is it worth to you to know that no matter what happens in the economy, you have the skills and know-how to protect yourself, your firm and your future? Can you really put a price on it Don’t you think you owe it to yourself, to your career, to your future, to find out what you’ll be missing at the Summit? Click the button below to register for this summit now.

So thank you!
